Questions worth asking before you apply
What exactly happens in a conversation?
You talk. I am present. No agenda. No worksheets. You bring what you’re carrying and we work through it together — from the inside, not from a textbook. In ways nobody has ever taught you. Surely not in business school. I’ve been where you are. You’ve read the unbeaten path I walked. Our conversation will show you yours.
How long is each conversation?
As long as it needs to be. No artificial cutoff. No time pressure. No need to perform. Emergency Access conversations follow the same format. Author Talks create a pressure-free environment where solutions flow. Simply trust the process.
Is it normal that the first slot is only available a month or two after payment?
First of all, you need to read the book. The book needs to land before the conversation can mean anything. If you haven’t read it — or haven’t let it sit — we’d spend the conversation explaining things the book already covers. That’s a waste of time. Secondly, with only 24 slots available per calendar year, it is possible that slots are taken far in advance.
What if I haven't finished the book yet?
Apply anyway. Tell me where you are with it. The application asks exactly that. Then you can apply for a slot a few months ahead so you create the time for yourself to read it first.
Why audio only? No video?
Because video is a performance. You’ll spend half the conversation managing how you look. Plus a video reduces anonymity. Mine and yours. Audio assures that. It’s just two voices. That’s where honesty lives.
Is it really anonymous?
You don’t have to provide me with your real name. You can make the booking through your company if you wish to add another layer of anonymity. On top of that: No recordings. No notes shared with anyone. You do not become a case study. What you bring to the conversation stays in the conversation. You will not be asked for a public review. I don’t need your LinkedIn profile. You let me know what you’re carrying and we work it from there.
What language are the conversations in?
English only at this stage. I speak other languages too, but in this work language is key. Hence I do not take any chances to lose anything in translation.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens. One reschedule is always possible with at least 7 days notice. Coming down the mountain takes time and commitment. I am expecting the same from you. Less than 7 days — the slot and your investment are lost. Emergency Access slots cannot be rescheduled by definition. The donation is not lost however. A share will still be donated and you will receive the confirmation accordingly.
Is there a refund policy?
If your application is approved and you’ve paid — full refund available within 14 days of payment, regardless of whether a conversation date has been scheduled. After 14 days, no refunds under any circumstances, scheduled or not. Once a conversation date is confirmed, no refunds. If I need to cancel for any reason within 7 days of the scheduled conversation, you have two options: a full refund, OR — your investment is donated 100% to our supported causes, you can reschedule to an available slot within the following 5 business days, PLUS an additional Author Talk conversation for a different book of your choice at no extra cost. The additional conversation is drawn from the annual pool of 24 slots and scheduled accordingly — waiting time may apply. Your call.
I bought the book on Amazon, not here. Am I still eligible?

Is there a time factor option for urgent situations?
Yes. The application asks if time is a factor. If you’re dealing with something acute — illness, imminent divorce, a crisis that can’t wait for the next available slot — tell me. I assess each situation individually.
